This is the first real rotoscope animated video I made. It was my final project in my Digital Animation class at the University of Iowa. It's based off of a joke I used to tell all the time as a kid.
The Large Mouth Frog
Bulbous Bouffant
A video I made at the University of Iowa. Rotoscope Animation that took over 300 hours to create.
Crash the Superbowl - Subject #615
A commercial i made with my friends for the Doritos/Pepsi "Crash the Superbowl" contest. This features my friend Jon Rayfield.
Crash the Superbowl - To The Max (clean)
A commercial i made with my friends for the Doritos/Pepsi "Crash the Superbowl" contest. This features Anna Maliavina. This is the "clean" version that got rejected by the judges. Needless to say, the "unclean" version (the next video) didn't get accepted either.
Crash the Superbowl - To The Max (unclean)
A commercial i made with my friends for the Doritos/Pepsi "Crash the
Superbowl" contest. This features Anna Maliavina. This is the "unclean"
version that got rejected by the judges, along with the "clean" version. I'm sorry if it offends you. :)
Crash the Superbowl - I Wish
A commercial I made with my friends for a superbowl contest.
Condemned - 48 hour film project - chicago - winner - 2010
Our video for the 2010-Chicago 48 Hour Film Contest. We were all given a character, a line of dialogue, a genre, and an object. We won "Best Use of Character" and tied for "Audience Choice" in our screening. Check out fun pictures on the Perfect Fit Post webpage on my Links page.

Sogel Kelga
The first backwards video I ever made. Gabe and I spent a lot of time figuring out how to say the lines backwards. More backwards videos should be made! Sorry the intro credits are so long. I wouldn't do it like that again.
The Park
A backwards video of me running to the park and then playing on the equipment. This is a shortened version of a slightly longer idea that I had with my friends, Gabe and Sam. One day I think it would be a lot of fun to make that one.
Lady and Her Tramp
My final project for Film Tech I at Columbia College and it actually won "Best Of" for my class! It was shot on 16mm, no sound, on a Bolex. That trampoline is now deceased but it sure was fun.
The Knobs
A video made with Jeff and Gabe. I still love the end. We were bored, so we made this video. Does it show?
Losing Face & Man
2 stop-motion videos I made before college. The first one I made back in 1997 or 1998 in one day to help me get a small scholarship to Columbia College (which I got). The second one was made a little earlier over a few days (you can tell by the light change) with my friend Jonah. Sorry it's a little hard to tell what's going on.
Gabracadabra
The title is pronounced like "Gabe-racadabra" because my friend Gabe is the main character. This was the first video we made using a digital non-linear program, which happened to be a VERY early version of iMovie. We got a little carried away with the credits because they are longer than the video itself.
Boy Meets Girl
A stop motion video I made in my Stop-Motion 1 class at Columbia College. It used flat animation where the camera was looking down on different layers of glass.
Hovering
I made this after seeing an old stop-motion film in school. I thought it would be fun to try and copy the style as a test. You might need to watch it a few times since it's only 8 seconds long.
Me Skiing in Galena, IL
The whole goal to shoot footage while going down a hill that was probably too advanced for me was to catch Conor and Luc going past me. I was concentrating so hard on staying vertical that I never saw them go past me. It's worth watching until the end.
Me walking
A sort of time-lapse/Stop-motion video. I took a picture of myself with my phone as often as I could as I was walking for about 10 minutes. It creates a kind of cool effect.
